Graphic copied from here. There was a time, believe it or not, when the declaration on the graphic above was a fairly common sight in Metro Manila. Enough that it was a minor nuisance, like jejemons are right now, I suppose. From t-shirt prints, to vandalisms on walls, to fake tattoo s on prepubescent punkistas. Never mind that the declaration was total nonsense. It was popular. And so just about every lemming youth who wanted to be different -- like his peers, rode on the bandwagon. I wonder if these people ever learned the meaning of "irony"? Where are they now? Did they grow up to become the guy whose job is to call passengers to fill up jeepneys? Did any of these punkistas ever make it as a bank executive? Are there call center agents now who ever wore a "punks not dead" t-shirt? I have not seen a t-shirt, a vandalism, or a fake "punks not dead" tattoo in years. Is punks finally dead? Is it safe to declare that here now? Alright. Let me...

Which reminds me, I once attended an event of the Boy Scouts to which the guest speaker happened to be the current Warden of a famous local jail back at that time.
He specifically pointed out in his speech that he conducted a research wherein he found out that the most common full name of all inmates ever recorded was Juan de la Cruz.
Sadly, he pointed out that the Americans back at the American domination of the Philippines must've used the said name as a monicker for us all based on prison records.
How sad...

No, Neckromancer, I did not. I would have given him credit if I did. You see, my problem with last names (Finns specifically) is that one of our company's clients is for a Finn owned company. It is very hard for me to fill out the visitor's form (for the guards) on account of the client's last name. I actually have to make him write it on the form itself. I can never remember it. It is something like 3 consonants in a row or something like that. :)
