Graphic copied from here. There was a time, believe it or not, when the declaration on the graphic above was a fairly common sight in Metro Manila. Enough that it was a minor nuisance, like jejemons are right now, I suppose. From t-shirt prints, to vandalisms on walls, to fake tattoo s on prepubescent punkistas. Never mind that the declaration was total nonsense. It was popular. And so just about every lemming youth who wanted to be different -- like his peers, rode on the bandwagon. I wonder if these people ever learned the meaning of "irony"? Where are they now? Did they grow up to become the guy whose job is to call passengers to fill up jeepneys? Did any of these punkistas ever make it as a bank executive? Are there call center agents now who ever wore a "punks not dead" t-shirt? I have not seen a t-shirt, a vandalism, or a fake "punks not dead" tattoo in years. Is punks finally dead? Is it safe to declare that here now? Alright. Let me...
Wow! You're so good Don Dee. Nahiya ako ng slight sa video editing skills ko. Haha.
ReplyDeleteGaling!
Thank you Leo. I'm actually a little disappointed with how youtube compressed the video file and ruined the color gradients of the vid. New compression method when uploading that I only now found out about.
ReplyDeleteI hope this band makes it. I think they are good enough to have a chance. They are just starting out. It was the drummer of the band who contracted me because he liked my Eraserheads "Shake Yer Head" youtube video. Mataas kasi ranking kasi nun if you search youtube with the keywords "typo kinetic animation" (and he wanted that). Nasa first page pa rin video ko sa results, yey!
I looked up in Youtube! Ang galing nga! Nearing 10k views na, at super creative ng typo animation. It takes someone so skilled to create that. Now ko lang nalaman yang compression method nila ah. Ako naman nainis sa video editing tool ko, when it's mixing the songs and the video, nawala ang HD effect ng kauna-unahan kong music video. I need to study more. :)
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work Don Dee! I have a feeling na dadami pa yang raket mo. :)
