The best part

The 15 minutes a day that it takes for me to walk my daughter to school, that is the best part of my day. I thank the Lord for each and every day that I'm given that.

On the way to school this morning, my three-year-old daughter noticed her own shadow on the ground and playfully tried to outrun it. Only a three-year-old would think that was even possible.

This would be funny except that, tragically, many of us adults still think we can outrun the consequences of our actions.

Proper Context

Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ which strengthen me," further shortened by GSW MVP Steph Curry to "I can do all things", probably so he can scribble it on his sponsored Under Armor shoe, is NOT about basketball, or athletic achievement, or even about being successful in life in general. Please do, read the entire chapter and KNOW that those words are about RESILIENCE and being content, whether in abundance or even with NOTHING.

The thing about human rights

is that you don't get to pick and choose which ones you want for yourself, and which ones you want taken away from the "guilty". The human rights you want for yourself are the very same human rights you must be willing to afford even the most blatantly obvious guilty suspect.

Who does not want the opportunity to FACE HIS ACCUSER in a FAIR TRIAL in a COURT OF LAW?

And no honor in being buried

I turn the other cheek

because my obedience to the Lord is not contingent upon the good behavior of people around me.
