Note to my Sea, 21 Feb 2017.

To my precious Sea,

You can almost read now. As a 4-year-old pre-nursery pupil, you recognize simple words. People think you might be gifted. I am almost certain you will be smarter than me -- and that is saying something. One funny thing though, you've started this habit of pretending to know how to read. And when you pretend to read a book aloud, somehow, "had a balloon," has to be there somewhere, regardless of the plot and characters.

I can't wait for you to grow up... but I know I am going to miss my baby so much.

Love,

Daddy

P.S. Went to Tita Em's shop to pick up the Peppa Pig balloon you and mommy forgot. Its lost some air, but you don't mind. You just love balloons.

A little WB Yeats

How many loved your moments of glad grace,
And loved your beauty with love false or true,
But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you,
And loved the sorrows of your changing face

The best part

The 15 minutes a day that it takes for me to walk my daughter to school, that is the best part of my day. I thank the Lord for each and every day that I'm given that.

Consequences

On the way to school this morning, my three-year-old daughter noticed her own shadow on the ground and playfully tried to outrun it. Only a three-year-old would think that was even possible.

This would be funny except that, tragically, many of us adults still think we can outrun the consequences of our actions.

Proper Context

Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ which strengthen me," further shortened by GSW MVP Steph Curry to "I can do all things", probably so he can scribble it on his sponsored Under Armor shoe, is NOT about basketball, or athletic achievement, or even about being successful in life in general. Please do, read the entire chapter and KNOW that those words are about RESILIENCE and being content, whether in abundance or even with NOTHING.

Yes, I lie! Lol. No. Some of the stories depicted here are fiction. That I do not tell which is which, makes it a little more fun, doesn't it?
