Dumbest ever
You know Coke is in trouble when they are desperate enough to come up with this lame attempt to be "hip". It is probably the dumbest TV ad for at least the last 10 years. What were these guys thinking? I swear, this TV ad is giving me hyper-acidity. Someone hand me a bottle of C2 iced tea.
I agree, it IS a pretty bad commercial. Unfortunately, I think those behind it are my friends.

ReplyDeleteThe "Brrr" Coke ad is juvenile and trying hard. A far far cry from the classy ads Coke is known for. I loved the Nikki Gil singing in the street ad which is resonant but not an exact copy of that one classic Coke ad, "I'd like to teach the world to sing". Saw that one when I was still in grade school. I can still sing that song. And oh yeah, I also like the patty cake game Coke ad. That was cute. Now compare this ad with those and you know someone dropped the ball.

Note: The third link looks aged. But you must remember that the USA was embroiled in the Vietnam war when the ad was released. It was a pretty radical TV ad, for a soda, at the time.
