Arrest them all!

Where did these bus drivers learn to drive? And no, that is not a rhetorical question.

Last time I checked, there are no bus-driving schools anywhere in the country. And you need a professional license restriction 6 at least to drive those mothers. The only logical answer is that they first tried it out on the streets along with all of us.

Have you ever seen a student bus driver with a licensed instructor riding shotgun? No? So they did it, no instructors, beside you in EDSA.

No wonder these maniacs drive the way they do. They are all unschooled amateurs. I say, arrest them all, guilty after the fact.

And oh, those jeepneys, ever see one with a working speedometer? Impound them all.

  1. hahaha. I remember when we used to have a bus. I was only beginning to learn how to drive a car. Our bus driver let me drive it back and forth but no more. I didn't even get to turn the wheel. Anyhow, I have seen these bus drivers do amazing things. Galing sa isang main street, sabay pasok sa isang eskinita. ang allowance on either side is less than half an inch. I swear it's true. At eto ang malupit, lubak-lubak yung eskinita pero di nagka-scratch yung bus. So nagtravel sha sa eskinita for about five minutes. and then later on. inatras nya palabas the same eskinita ng patalikod. Damn. I get a bit panicky whenever I try to backpark my car.

And yeah. I myself have been looking for that legend: The jeepney driver with a working speedometer. Ahaha.

  2. The jeepney with the working speedometer is an urban legend.

Sometimes I watch bus drivers and notice that they need to move the steering wheel a third way around before any reaction to the steering happens. Does this stop them from driving these mothers at speeds of up to mach 3? No. Now you know why I pray a lot. Lol.

  3. Dude, I have seen a jeepney with a working speedometer. Kaso bata pa yata ako nun. Jeep pa ng pinsan ko. Hehehe.

  4. Go for it. But do write the warning to go with it. I don't think I can watch it. I have a weak stomach for such things. Talagang bumabaon sa utak ko eh. :)
