Pangarap
So, President Noynoy Aquino has finally taken official residence at the Bahay Pangarap. Former guest house close to the PSG quarters and technically, still within the Malacanang compound. Here's hoping that that is not all what Noynoy meant when he said "pwede na ulet mangarap".
In another unrelated news, PNoy has fired the official astrologer -- err, meteorologist at the PAGASA, for predicting the weather oh so wrong. Here's a tip for the next PAGASA head, subscribe to cable and turn on to CNN. Problem solved.
cnn's weather update is so accurate.
ReplyDeleteOr tune in to Umagang Kay Ganda. Haha!
ReplyDeleteKung minsan talaga hindi ko maintindihan ang gobyerno. Why do they need to re-invent the wheel? Why buy the expensive equipment? BAKET?!!!
ReplyDeleteBecause majority of Government Top Hats refuse to admit the incompetence of their people and just blame it on the machinery (equipment). When (supposedly) better machinery is purchased, after all the red tape, they end up with second class (or lower) complicated machinery which requires further trainings leading to further income opportunities.
ReplyDeleteMost of the time, "Ka-Ching!" is the preferred sound. Lol!
Furthermore, Government officials tend to rely on those with the right skills to do all the patriotic job while they sit at ease knowing somebody is on it.
Later on, the expert feels the country is no longer loyal to him despite all the loyalty he showed so he jumps ship and favors the highest bidder. We can't blame him but the top hats are running out of people to blame. Hehehe.
About "Reinventing the Wheel", I don't look at it as "reinvention" but it rather appeals to me as "sucking up" to the public eye. It makes sense, of course, but up to what end?
Well, IMHO, PAGASA did a LOUSY job on that one. Like I said, these guys could've easily cheated and tuned in to CNN (or the weather channel) to see what's going on. What? That's not allowed? How can you blame poor equipment when CNN is AVAILABLE! Konting "creativity" naman sana minsan.
ReplyDeleteMalay mo, baka "they don't have cable."
ReplyDeleteHehehe.
Kung sa internet nga, baka "they don't have google." pa.
(San ka naman makakakita ng government agency na nagkaroon nga ng LAN para sa internet pero pag naka internet ka na at nag try ka mag update ng anti-virus, madidiskubre mo na naka ban pala sa network yung pag update ng antivirus mo. Hehehe. Only in da Pilipins!)
