Finally at midnight, the friggin thing worked and I am able to upload this. Globe should have just told us, the consumers, that SuperSurf is a midnight to dawn kinda deal.
Well, you can scratch Globe as potential sponsor on this blog. Haha. That's just fine. I am not like ABS-CBN or GMA. I will say GLOBE sucks (when they do). Haaaay... I can't wait for SMART to pump up their signal in our area. I was using SMART before I moved to my new place. And it worked great. No complaints. Sadly, my new place is Globe country. Smart signal here is still just GPRS.
And hey, notice the label to this post (and the other one). There was a time when I had my blog entries (complaints on Globe) make it on the first page of the Google search engine. Haha.
Of course not. GO ahead, I do not own the copyright to complaints. And the more of us bloggers complain against poor services (not just Globe)the better!
My partner and I are setting up something that will be a work from home kinda deal. It will require file transfers in the gigabytes region. How can I confirm my commitment when Globe is doing this to me right now?
Hmm, if it is going to be a business involving or is highly dependent on internet access, maybe you should consider switching to a cable DSL subscription. Globe is f*c*ed up. I suppose all other mobile broadband provider would either be in the same state or would soon follow suit.
I remember from my former job that my former employer got a cable DSL account which had a maximum speed of 4MBPS (as promised but it was more like 1.5 to 2 MBPS average.) But it (the node) had to be shared with 7 or 8 other accounts. Compared to Globe Tattoo, which I feel only has one node per celsite and had to be shared with no matter how many users using the internet in that area.
Since Globe doesn't provide us such details openly, I am led to believe that since that is how I feel about my internet. You see, Globe promises up to 2 MBPS while there has been a few times (lucky enough times) when I got up to 2.2 MBPS.
Same here. Pity I don't have enough spending power to check out how Sun performs in my area.
Ang problema kasi, nasa pagitan ako ng Bulacan at ng Valenzuela. So, parang nakiki signal lang ako kung ano available. Kakaasar.
Pero pag nasa work ako, malakas naman internet ko since ang lapit ng celsite.
But the question still remains: Bakit ako nagkakaroon ng paminsan-minsang 2 MBPS connection kapag mga panahong walang ibang mag i ineternet sa area na to? Kung wala talaga akong signal, dapat wala talaga.
Sadly Dude, I've been enduring the same. Lol!

ReplyDeleteI think the profanity worked.
ReplyDeleteKewl! So more people would know. Lol!
ReplyDeleteWould you mind if I take the concept of airing out my comments for Globe and post it in my Blog? I've got a lot to say starting from Day 1. Lol!

ReplyDeleteAnd I had to endure just the same thing last night. Hate it! Especially now that I work from home.
ReplyDelete@ Maester Dondz> Thanks. I think I'll rant about it the next time I get a problem with Globe. lol. Better to strike while the iron is hot. :D
ReplyDelete@ Halie> Yeah, that really sucks. You can't depend on Globe if it meant your life. Hahaha!

@ nozrath - true, you can't depend on globe. hate them, but so far, that's the best service one can get from where I live.
ReplyDelete@ dondee - i agree, better get a cabled internet connection.
